Quick question: do I actually need to come back to substack?
Your vote is much appreciated: I am coming back
tl;dr: I guess I’m coming back to substack, so you can officially subscribe and expect to receive a newsletter-with-poem most weeks. Thank you guys for the decision-making-assistance!

Lovely newcomers and steadfast friends, I need help with a bit of a dilemma.
I left substack because of sexual harrassment. I say this including a fucking dope photo taken by the inimitable Jay Schifman on purpose because it is true that sometimes I look cool and still that is never an excuse to plague or torment me or any other person. I really shouldn’t have to say that.
So I filled the void and created my own newsletter, which you can sign up for via my website, and send it out by email (everyone’s addresses are masked, obviously), old school styles, so that I can really moderate who’s getting it.
Sending my new subscribers a post about this didn’t seem to explain that I really am not currently using the substack newsletter feature, and more people subscribed here. So the question: if I want to connect with my readers, do I have to suck it up and start using substack for my newsletter again? If you’re reading this, do you actually want to receive my (mostly except when chaos overwhelms me too much) weekly half anything-goes-letter-half-poem?
I am really not good at determining any of this, so I sincerely appreciate your input.
Thank you all, and I appreciate you taking the time to read and respond.

In thanks, here is a picture of my cat, Al Khwarizmi (named for the 7th century Persian Father of Algebra), taking her daily afternoon nap:

Does Al Khwarizmi come when called by name?
